Junction Magazine Cover
Description: This cover was for the Fall 2012 issue of the student-driven magazine Junction at The Art Institute of California—San Diego. The theme of this particular issue was subliminal messaging and the subconscious mind. My design for the cover is a photo manipulation in which layers of torn paper represent the layers of human personality and consciousness. The cool color scheme is futuristic, playing into the idea that science and technology will discover more than we can see.
Scope: Utilizing stock photography and the pre-established Junction and Art Institute logos, I photomanipulated all elements and typography into a cohesive conceptual layout. I determined the overall mood with my color selection and imagery choices.
